A Clint Clobber cartoon. Taken from 16mm print.
Sadly this was the one and only screen adaptation of the comic strip.

Wow, haven't seen this in years. Thanks for uploading.
These are just adorable! Great wind-down after watching police body cam videos.
Nominated for a Academy Award
Brant Parker worked alongside Johnny Hart of B.C. fame. They only ever did one B.C. animated film, a Christmas Special, I'm Happy to see Wizard of Id had one too
I would love to see Thomas in this cartoon.
The King is a Fink!!!!

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing
I always noticed that the Clint Clobber opening fanfare theme sounds like some of the music scores heard on "The Flintstones," despite different music directors, even. I also have always been aware that both Clint Clobber and Fred Flintstone are based off of Jackie Gleason's Ralph Kramden character.
Hoyt Curtin did the music for The Flintstones, and other Hanna-Barbera cartoons, and sometimes UPA. I don't think he ever worked for Terrytoons. Phil Scheib was longtime Terrytoons music director. Both were accomplished musicians. Unfortunately Scheib was locked into formula arrangements under Paul Terry. He got to shine a bit when Gene Deitch became creative director.
@@avp217 I notice the similarities in style of music between the "Clint Clobber" and "The Flintstones" cartoons, despite each music director never working for the other one's respective studio. Both series seem to have a low-note horn instrument playing. Perhaps this can be associated with heavy-set guys who raise their voices a lot?
Georges Van Parys - Mr Topaze (1961) Main Title
I wouldn't say that to Jane Punching him for no reason. More like I will just punch her like that horrendously
Tall fences make good neighbors
Johnny Marr did the original cartoon
Clint is the best of the later terrytoons! 🐶
"The Wizard of Id" is ideally suited for animation, but, like all comic strip adaptations, you have to keep true to the characters and the situations (the king's sadism, Rodney's cowardice, Bung's drunkenness, the wizard's squabbles with Blanch). Paul Winchell is an interesting vocal choice for the king.
0:11 Ohio meme.
Not bad but i prefer Dumbo

@arryosuryahadi544 oh it’s nothing unusual Because I’ve been watching the show scene from The Reef it was last year in January the 6th
@arryosuryahadi544 yeah cause when the shrimps in that movie were saying Go Thordon! You’re humongous! Over and over again I play that part were Clint Clobber said Dancing!😁
Now we need the actual CinemaScope version of this with original titles
One of the comic I used to read!
Happy October 31st everyone 🎃 this HAS been a real treat, for sure, totally!
Low budget, huh?
This was released in theaters in 1976. I think it was both the last theatrical cartoon released by United Artists and the last theatrical cartoon made by DePatie-Freleng. It may be the last regularly released American studio cartoon of any kind.
My generation wonders why many men refused to get married. 😆😆😆
A snippet of King Charles III reign.
Actually reminds me of animation used in Pink Panther series dePatie and Freling.

You are a god for uploading this beautiful Technicolor print of a Cinemascope Terrytoon, with original leaders. I love you dearly.
Pretty good adaptation! Good they didn't make it more 'busy' than the simple original.
Grumpy Clint Clobber only take cares of his hotel
Pakistan movies be like
0:13 Great logo find
I'm a huge fan of the strip, and I never knew this existed. A pity it never went further, as I think it would have been a great series. The animation is definitely a cut above the usual TV stuff of the era, more fluid and better lip-sync. Characters look on model as well. Better than the Jim Henson pilot in my humble opinion. Thanks for posting.
